Mystery and Wonder
Humans fear the unknown, but we owe that fear a lot. Without mysteries Science would go out of business and religion would became a monopoly. This version of the world scares me much more than the dark. Scientists are the people who step out into the dark to see if a monster attacks them. Eventually we all ventured into the dark after them but some had to be dragged kicking and screaming. So I say, thank god for the scientists. And while I may not be wise enough to be considered one of them, I can at least rest easy knowing that I will follow them into the dark.
